Project objective

Development of a new European Wind Atlas and the improvement of advanced wind resource models.

Expected outcome

Creation of a database containing up-to-date wind data for the whole of Europe, the New European Wind Atlas (hereinafter “NEWA Database”). A full model chain from Meso scale to micro scale with the purpose of calculating both wind ressources and siting paramters for wind farms with the aim of reducing the uncertainty in the estimates.
